SKUvantage

A new service in Australia has created the opportunity for suppliers and retailers to provide high quality images and product content to consumers. Using SKUvantage, suppliers can now more easily control the content, branding and messaging presented about their products over digital and traditional channels.

Coles recently selected SKUvantage to update product images and data across the full range for its Grocery Home Shopping web site. This provides a great opportunity for suppliers to commission additional content and an extended data set directly from SKUvantage to feed into the website.

Whilst images are generally available through existing agencies, SKUvantage additionally provides the crucial element of structured, consistent and accurate product data. This is captured to the best international standards to enable consumers to make informed choices in selecting the products they need. The important component of product data makes web sites more useable, increases basket size and empowers multi-channel shopping.

Product content commissioned by suppliers through SKUvantage can be syndicated for free to retailers in a format that makes it easy to apply to their web sites, marketing media and shopping channels. Great product content, and data especially, helps suppliers capitalise on the rapidly growing consumer behaviour of research and purchase, both via online and using a mobile device. Illustrating this strategy, SKUvantage recently compiled high quality imagery and fully structured data for Johnson and Johnson's complete Neutrogena range. This is now available to any retailer or shopping service needing this sort of digital content.

SKUvantage is founded by seasoned online retail executives with deep expertise in product content, gained at retailers including Tesco.com and the Woolworths group. The service complements the data and offerings of GS1 & GoScan. SKUvantage is already working with a number of retailers and suppliers to provide a vehicle to deliver better product content to consumers. If you are a supplier needing to have content produced and syndicated, or a retailer needing to receive free content and would like to know more, please contact Daniel Roberts at SKUvantage on daniel@skuvantage.com.
