1st Annual ECRA Convention 2009
In 2009 the 1st Annual ECRA Convention, themed Working Together for the Shopper, focused thought leadership, industry insights, and real world experience from local and global experts, on how the industry could work together for the shopper.
More than 150 senior industry executives attended the inaugural ECRA Convention held in Sydney on 22-23 October 2009.
The convention offered delegates the unique opportunity to hear from global and local FMCG experts, and featured an afternoon with leading Australasian retailers.
With a theme of Working Together for the Shopper, the convention focussed on placing the shopper at the centre of the business process. Other focuses of the event included the way the industry thinks about doing business, the strategies chosen, the goals set and the measures used to evaluate them.
To continue this journey, the industry agreed on the need to share more information, collaborate where possible and embrace the notion that the best way to manage increasing complexity is through transparent and collaborative approaches to issues.
