Mission

Bringing together fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) suppliers and supermarket retailers in pursuit of business practices that contribute to driving growth, delivering efficiency and improving availability across the end-to-end value chain, benefiting suppliers, retailers and shoppers, without impeding competition law.

Objectives

The TPF is a parity based industry body that works across the Australian and New Zealand FMCG and Supermarket Retail sector to enhance and optimise the end-to-end value chain by collaborating (without infringing competition law) to:

  • Identify opportunities to drive growth;
  • Improve availability;
  • Deliver efficiency enhancements; and
  • Establish business enablers and standards.

The TPF's objective is to deliver outcomes that benefit the retailer, the supplier and the shopper.

The TPF engages with the broader industry constituency to deliver a positive dialogue in relation to the Australasian FMCG and Supermarket Retail environment.

Scope

The TPF members work together to benefit the entire value chain and improve the way shopper needs are met by identifying key areas for improvement and relevant initiatives to support improvements, with a focus on growth, availability; value chain improvements; and, business enablers and standards.

Programs and projects are:

  • For industry, by industry;
  • Provide practical deliverables;
  • Provide value by creating industry solutions;
  • Yield financial benefit;
  • Yield efficiency improvements;
  • Examine global best practice as a basis for local outcomes;  
  • Easily and effectively adopted; and
  •  Effectively communicated.
